This very beautiful, original handcoloured engraving of Zoophytes - Actinia effoeta (sea anemone), Discosoma nummiforme (sea mushroom) zoanthus socialis (sea mat) - from Georges Cuvier's “Le Règne Animal Distribué d’après son Organisationor.” The Animal Kingdom, Distributed According to Its Organisation.  

Published in Paris by Fortin and Masson in 1817-1849.
