This evocative, rare original hand-coloured aquatint of sea fishermen working a mooring capstan, was designed and engraved by landscape painter, William Henry Pyne (1769 -1843), for "The Costume of Great Britain" published in London by William Miller in 1805.

The Costume of Great Britain contains 60 beautifully painted and engraved scenes portraying a large cross-section of life in Britain during the early 19th century.
