These beautiful unbound portfolio chromolithographs, are from the 1902 “Fisheries, Game and Forests Commission” 7th annual report of the State of New York.

The artist, Sherman Foote Denton (1856 -1937) born in Massachusetts, was only 3 years-old when began to paint and study fish. This early attraction developed in later years to Denton revolutionising the way fish were mounted and preserved to retain their original vibrant colours.
